We're from here
We know the longhouses, the rivers, the kampungs and the city. We know the people and the protocol, and the languages that open doors. That's access a crew flown in can't buy.

Stories that move people
Every film has a job. Some move audiences to act: invest, vote, enrol, visit. Others move them to feel. We design for that outcome from the first conversation.

Story development, directing, cinematography and post-production in-house, backed by our sister company Borneo Film Equipment, one of Sarawak's first film equipment rental houses. Fewer hand-offs, tighter budgets.

Directors, cinematographers, gaffers, sound, art and production: a Sarawak crew that has shot in longhouses, on rivers, at sea and on stage, with our own camera and lighting house behind it. Most recently: Saga, our biggest production yet, shot from boats, mudflats and village sets.

Filmco is backed by Borneo Film Equipment, one of the first film equipment rental houses in Sarawak. Its kit covers small documentary crews and large-scale film sets alike, so our productions never wait on gear flown in from elsewhere. That means fewer hand-offs, tighter budgets and room to say yes to the ambitious shot.

Sam Wong
Sam Wong is an award-winning filmmaker and storyteller from Sarawak with more than a decade of experience crafting emotional, heritage-rich films.
Since founding Filmco in 2013, Sam has led campaigns that bring Malaysia's cultural legacy to life, from songket and pua kumbu weaving to Kuching's UNESCO City of Gastronomy bid. He also founded Borneo Film Equipment, one of the first film equipment rental houses in Sarawak.
Filmco ialah syarikat penerbitan filem dan video di Kuching, Sarawak, yang diasaskan oleh pengarah Sam Wong pada tahun 2013. Kami menghasilkan dokumentari, filem jenama dan filem korporat dari Sarawak yang menyentuh hati dan menggerakkan tindakan, untuk jenama, agensi kerajaan dan komuniti. Kami sedia berbincang dalam Bahasa Melayu.
